the explosions just mean they are using LiPo instead of LiFePo4 batteries because they are smaller and lighter.
Tesla uses LiPo too, but they have a pretty effective monitoring and cooling systems. But EVERY car that uses LiPo is a potential bomb.
Potential bomb and consumer car are two things I don’t want to hear together 😬
