No disrespect, but you're confused. Nobody claims Nostr somehow invented public data that's also private. If you publicly publish something it's public. Anyone can use/propagate that information.

Nostr's benefits are that you solely have control over what you publish and your data isn't going to be use by an algo _that you're forced to use_
