Once or twice a year, a friend uses me for some experiment and asks me to answer a personality test questionnaire. The MBTI.

Five years into it and I'm still the same INTJ-A female. I can't imagine people belonging to only 16 buckets of personalities. We are far too complex for that.

Frankly, it's like reading your horoscope with confirmation bias among other things.

Woo boy … I’ve taken that damn test so many times at work … ENTJ every damn time. Like it doesn’t even matter anymore. πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ«‚βœ¨

They make you take it at work? Dang. I honestly don't know what the test's real application is other than for fun.

First time I took it I was 18 working as a backfill for a secretary on maternity leave …

Then I took it in the #Army multiple times. It always felt like it was a way to attempt to understand others best but … military is weird. Like some of the higher ranking got a little weird about my results. Like yo: it’s a basic personality test. Like you said … it should be for funsies. Hugs πŸ«‚

πŸ˜‚ I love taking them...apparently that's part of my personality type (INFP one time an INFJ)... They're fun, but I agree that it's like a horoscope, which I also love reading πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, and you shouldn't mold yourself to what it says about you.

Husband is INTJ 😬

Wait so you changed from INFP to INFJ at some point? So it is possible. πŸ˜„ I wonder if you were in a different mood before it changed and stabilised.

You're married to an INTJ probably means we get along for the most part. πŸ˜„πŸ«‚ You're the best though. I appreciate you.

πŸ₯Ή I appreciate you as well πŸ«‚.

I was in a mood one time πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I've since reverted back to INFP. I'm definitely a feeler and peace keeper. A friend flipped from J to P after having a kid.

Apparently INFP or ENFP and INTJ are very compatible personality types according to the people who make the tests πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

Good to know! First time I've received confirmation that maybe this test does have some validity to it. πŸ˜„

Lol, I think it gives insight into how people think and approach things and that in turn seems to make it easier to communicate in a way that is most effective. All tools good tools.

Indeed... horoscope for corporate hiring and heafhunters. πŸ˜‚

But so fun πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. I've taken so many different ones for the heck of it.

Try Enneagrams πŸ˜ƒ

...πŸ‘€... I did that, too... If I remember correctly I was a 4 with wings 9 and 2 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. And I did cognitive function-emotions were high on that one and disc assessment-was red...Like I said I love taking all these tests for the fun of it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

I don't by any means live my life based on them, but it's fun to see what it comes up with and say huh that's right on or pffft that's not me at all.

Bingo. It's play and exploration and that's cool.

Yes! And it's fun to get people to take it and try to predict what they'll be πŸ˜‚

I just ran with your enthusiasm and I went and completed an Enneagram test.

I’m a 5 which probably explains my previous career choices!

I’m also an INFP ☺️

Lol, I love it. I think if I did it now, I'd be a 5 somewhere in there. I can recognize I've changed as I've gotten older.

INFPs are great πŸ«‚πŸ’œ

πŸ«‚πŸ™‚

I've always been an INXX can't really remember the last 2, maybe they change slightly whenever I do a test but always, always INXXπŸ™πŸ».

I think the "I" in me will never change to an "E". The rest, probably.

I'm pretty much the same, I'm firmly an "I" and will never be an "E"πŸ™πŸ». I've taken loads of E's in my time, but will never be oneπŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚.

Some Es exhaust the hell out of me. πŸ˜„

I tend to largely steer clear of them!

I've started a note on the back of your note. Come and join us, see if you're autistic😬😎. (I'm not suggesting you are btw!)😜.

πŸ˜„ I saw that.. it's ok, I know how to play connect the dots in my brain.

Like "you will have a great day skiing today" πŸ˜‚ that should work pretty well

Oh, yeah. I've taken that. Apparently, I'm an ISFJ. Used to be an ESTJ way back. ParentingπŸ˜…πŸ€·. Nothing is ever the same after it.

Wow, that's a pretty significant change. Damn kids. πŸ˜…

I tested ESTJ when I was still in the service. Military indoctrination is one hell of a drugπŸ˜…πŸ€·

I didn't realise they actually use this in the military. I know they have their battery of tests and assessments but I didn't know it was the MBTI.

LOLπŸ˜… that's not what I meant. The military didn't make me do it. I did it when it when I was on leave one time. Sorry, I should given a little more clarification.

Oh πŸ˜„ Got it.. got it.

It was a change for the better, though. Definitely!
