I was watching the Joe Rogan / Adam Sandler and they brought up a good point. You have to leave your hometown. Ppl will always remember you as you were before your success . It’s the same story with btc and our loser irl friends . The meritocracy of the internet only values signal regardless where it comes from

That's something I only started to realise a few months ago, after joining Nostr. My internet friends have a lot more in common with me, than my IRL ones. Lots of them, I don't even know their name, but it doesn't matter.

I'm done trying to orange pill my IRL friends. They can think "it's too late" and that "Bitcoin is already up so much". More for me to stack, by exchanging fake money for it.

The issue, that they would never admit, was that they have this entitlement factor where they think they deserve btc at a cheaper price. They can’t stand that we bought in cheaper than they ever could
