maybe vibe code culture has jaded me a bit with the idea that i need to slop out tons of code to compete.

Fuck that. I don’t care if it’s slower. I will continue to hand write most things and be meticulous about code quality. I will let technical debt consume my competitors.

Exactly this. I think AI is great for bouncing around ideas or writing some initial unit tests, but I want to know what my code is actually doing and I need to keep learning. How will I ever get better if AI does all the work?
