The majority of people joining nostr won't understand/ strictly want self custody or open source, just like they don't know how their email works...
The built in / free wallets work and allow people to progress naturally to self custody and open source as they learn more and choose to do so.
Yep. I agree. Those that want a cypherpunk experience will need to do the work, per usual.
