I would be happy with north QLD. Port Douglas was nice when I’ve been there in the winter!
It’s nice but nothing beats a European summer, nothing compares to it.

Darwin is the only major city in Australia I haven’t been to! I have been to Alice Springs but never in the winter.
I really enjoyed Darwin when I was there. Good food, welcoming people & beautiful nature/city. Recommend visiting one day. I never been to Alice Springs, but want to visit one day.
Haven’t been to either but I do look forward to visiting soon.

Hahah no, I want to visit. Never been
Alice Springs kind of surprised me. Before I went there I had people tell me it wasn’t very nice and wasn’t safe to go out at night. There are definitely some “interesting” people around and some problems with alcohol but it really wasn’t that bad and has some nice areas. I was there for work though so didn’t get to see too much of it.
Interesting! People told me similar things about Darwin. In reality Darwin surprised me in so many ways, and def a place I want to visit again soon.
