The end of the Cold War was the triumph of national socialism over international socialism, but the national variety is starting to also go broke and will eventually be forced to return to liberalism because they are running out of other people's money and Bitcoin can't be printed.

I like this take, but I don't believe it for a moment.

My country has gone from national socialism with a dash of liberalism to screaming international socialism in my lifetime.

Leaders are not going to be forced to "return to liberalism". They have no idea how to do that. They are going to crash the bus and flee on foot.

If you are upset by my idea that all sides in WWII (and the following Cold War) were socialist, please note that the two major political parties in Germany, after the war, were the Christian Socialists (later CDU and CSU) and the Social Democrats (SPD). Also, the related Christian Socialist Movement is a faction of the UK's Labor Party.

This is less obvious, in the USA, because the parties have the same names they adopted during the Civil War, but their members and voters are also mostly socialists.

Socialism was never renounced, only communism.

Correct. Hello, rare thinker and luminous being.
