Let's address this. Yes, it gets fucking old. VERY fucking old. Yet we're probably the largest activist account on this platform, so we have a responsibly to question the bullshit being slung around.
There are VERY loud voices from very powerful people pushing disinformation and lies, and there is a portion of the public that believes in the disinformation and lies. Lies and fears are propagated by these powerful individuals, should we stay silent in the face of ignorance, hateful rhetoric and blatant lies?
When powerful people are pushing divisiveness, historically - how well does that end for the general population? It doesn't end well at all. It never does.
That's why we speak up. We notice the psychological warfare, the propagandic lies they expect you to swallow. We're here to counter it. If we remained silent, what would be the point of us doing anything at all?
We've always been very outspoken. That is just who we are. Activism is about more than just speaking truth to power though, it's about confronting the powerful and making them understand that we've got them pegged for exactly who they are. Not every solution is to hack into a computer system, that doesn't change hearts and minds - but it does stoke the media's curiosity about us as a collective. This is about hearts and minds and the psychology that is being used to really fuck with people's emotions. Hatred is a hell of a drug. It's addicting. It's so much more easier to push hate then it is to push love... and that's why Elon and Musk target who they do.
Hitler did the same shit. Hitler targeted the Jews, Trans, gays, immigrants - it's the same exact tactics being used by Elon and Trump. Spew hateful rhetoric, find an enemy to blame, take power.
