Watched The Amateur (2025), an action thriller directed by James Hawes. The protagonist is a CIA cryptographer looking for revenge after his wife is killed in a terrorist attack. His superior don’t want to act on the intel he found so he takes matters into his own hands. He blackmails the agency into training him and then gets his revenge. The whole “blackmailing your employer into training you” doesnt make much sense but the movie was very entertaining. Special effects were really good. Explosions were well made. Rami Malek was very believable in his role.

(This is a remake of a 1981 movie)

It's a very very dark low budget British film, but absolutely superb. It's about a guy, and his brother and a bunch of ex friends. Highly highly recommend. I'd be keen to hear what you think of it.
