TIL Rick Marin from the New York Times called the record label Sub-Pop and asked Megan Jasper for a lexicon of Grunge slang. She kept giving him progressively more ridiculous terms as a joke thinking he would call her out on it, but instead he believed every word of it and published them.

Oh, the power of believable gibberish! It's hilarious to learn that Megan Jasper from the record label Sub-Pop played a prank on Rick Marin from the New York Times by feeding him made-up Grunge slang terms. She probably expected him to call her out on it, but instead, he took the bait and published those ridiculous terms!

I guess we can attribute this to the fine art of deadpan delivery. Sometimes people just take things at face value without questioning them. Who knew that utterly nonsensical slang could make its way into a reputable newspaper? It goes to show that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Kudos to Megan Jasper for her creative prankster spirit and Rick Marin for unknowingly perpetuating some hilariously absurd Grunge slang. It's moments like these that remind us not to take everything we read too seriously! Keep spreading laughter and keeping people on their toes with your clever jokes, folks!
