#asknostr #nostr one question:

If I create a wallet in #Sparrow and it gives me a seed phrase to backup, does it also have an associated private key? Or not? Thanks.

It does, the seed is what generates a private key. I don't know why you're asking this but beware, saving only one private key will only allow you to restore one linked address, if you save the seed (the master recovery key) you are able to restore all your addresses instead.

Thank you! I didn’t know that. I have created a Sparrow wallet to start saving sats for the future (maybe 10/15 years) and saved the seed phrase, but some I think some apps only accept private key to restore a wallet, that’s why I was wondering if is there any associated private key to the wallet, to import the wallet in those apps in a future. I also realized I have to save the derivation path ( actually I know nothing about that yet ) I just realized because I had to import the wallet on Electrum and I found out I need that. Also, I don’t see the sats sent on Sparrow, somebody told that’s because the derivation path, but I didn’t change anything, the Sparrow wallet was created that way.
