you should know that Windows is probably more secure out of the box than linux. linix reuqires a lot of work to harden properly

linux is a lot of work to harden out
of the box.

windows defender and firewall is locked down out if the box.
Just because you can do more to harden Linux than #Windows doesn't mean Linux is weaker out of the box. It's not.
Windows needs a firewall because it has so many network services installed by default. In contrast, default Linux installs have minimal services running, none of which are listening on the network. Having less attack surface is more secure by design. So your firewall example just highlights my point.
There are, of course better things than a stock #Linux system, of course. #OpenBSD would be one. #Qubes would be another.
But this whole battle of the OSes debate is tired. You do you. The rest of us will do us. There's really no need to try to convince me to switch from open source software to corporate, propritary products. I didn't ask which operating system I should choose.
No, Linux is more secure haha
no way. windows defender and firewall make windows very locked down and secure from the beginning
look at all the work needed to do on linux

I might look into it more deeply later. I've seen that its security isn't bad, but it still remains one of the most attacked operating systems. I still prefer Linux haha
