I officially no longer have a television. I havenโ€™t turned on my tv in months. I tried to turn it on last night and it no longer works. I also didnโ€™t make an effort to try to fix it. I donโ€™t plan to buy a replacement either.

I really want to do a ceremonial burial and dump it in the lake.

Please don't dump it in a lake. That's disrespecting the lake. Dump it in the biggest bank in your area instead.

I would never actually dump anything in our lake. I was only being dramatic about it.

That's nice. I once knew a dramatic woman. She could make up the most amazing stories for me, right on the spot.

Absolutely fantastic stories. And in the moment of her telling I believed every word..โค๏ธ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™m not that dramatic. Not enough to make up stories.

I bet you could if you wanted to. It was kind of a cultural characteristic of women of her background.

She was also intellectually gifted. As you apparently are too..โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

Go you!

I'm still gonna watch anime and cheesy movies on mine, though.

I stopped watching TV when they switched from analog to digital. All the prescription drug company adds we're getting very disturbing.

But I've begun to watch a little more TV lately, and enjoy it. I figured out how to restrict and filter content to avoid all the dope dealing and drug pushing.

Get another TV. They're incredibly cheap now. And mostly have good user quality. You can find them second hand everywhere. Often for free.

I find it amazing how incredibly cheap and light these newer high tech TVs are. I even use one as a computer monitor sometimes.

My old analog TVs were 10 times the cost of these that I have now. Not accounting for inflation. And weighed 10 to 15 times as much.

They were state of the art. But couldn't come close to the capabilities of these newer TVs. I think you need access to a working TV even if you don't watch it..๐Ÿซ‚

P.S. The newer ones are also very energy efficient. Mine use less than .5 watts on standby..๐Ÿ˜Š

It's not at all about the price. I simply don't use it. All TV was to me is for entertainment and I have books for that. I have no need for it.

I see. I've been enjoying watching some movies. Used to love to do that. There's a lot available now.

They have these devices you can plug into your TV and stream all kinds of content from the internet.

I have two called "Chromecast with Google TV" I think 40 or 50 bucks each. Gives me access to an incredible amount of content of every kind.

I can even stream content from my smartphone to the TV.

But I still occasionally like to mess around with computer code, AI๐Ÿ’Ž and medical literature for reading entertainment..๐Ÿซ‚

I have 2. They're both over 7 yo. I don't see a use case that would require me replacing them if one were to stop working.
