In case anyone has trouble understanding, the popular "1 sat = 1 sat" mantra refers to the value of bitcoin relative to itself. There is a fixed supply that can't be centrally/artificially inflated. But the relative purchasing power of 1 sat vs. other things in the real world changes. It has changed since the first bitcoin transaction was made, and will continue to change into the future. 1 sat = 1 sat, but 1 sat ≠ 1 hotdog ... yet.
