Pedantic Calle: bitcoind will find other bitcoind's (through various techniques of peer discovery) even if you never realize these people running bitcoind ever exited in the first place.

It's important that Bitcoin works without a "Bitcoiner network".

then how would a fresh bitcoind find other nodes if you remove some hardcoded entries from the source?
