What is it with 100 years? Average human cycle. Gain currency power and then a few generations later they don’t know the pain of why the currency gained power and instead become complacent and corrupted by that power.

Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.

And “men” here includes women. It’s just that historically it’s mostly been weak men creating the hard times.
