Press the icon on the top right of the Bitcoin page in Cash App to scan or paste a lightning invoice generated from Alby wallet

Actually that’s the reverse 😂. Press the icon next to sell, then receive bitcoin, then share, then long press QR code and copy lightning invoice and paste that into Alby.

Remove the “then share” step. Put that in there by accident.

That's where I get stuck. Can't find a place to specify an amount in cash app or Alby at least on mobile

Oh you can enter an amount on Cash App. There’s an add amount button on the screen that displays the QR code.

Here, and then the next screens allows you specify an amount and choose Lightning or on chain.
