but fundamentally I think damus and twitter for that matter have it right, you are your handle, always rendered as your handle, the only time “your name” appears is with the handle.
just sucks that most nostr clients don’t subscribe to this.

yes I’m aware that here you are your pubkey… but letting the user at least attempt to declare how they want their name rendered when their pubkey is mentioned should of been worked out by now. Clients don’t have to respect it. But there isn’t signal for clients to have all the freedom in the world to respect.
