This is the first time i am hearing of Christmas in January
Over 250 million people worldwide!
Thats the date it was originally celebrated, before it split into other denomination.
Hence the name "Orthodox Christianity" = Adhering to the accepted or traditional and established faith.
Basically, "Original"
"Santa Clause" is actually from "Sinterklaas" (Deutch) which was Christianized much later in history than the Eastern world.
The original Santa is actually Grandfather Frost (Russian: "Ded Moroz")
And he was not fat and didn't wear always wear red or have any reindeer.
