Bitcoin wouldn't be bitcoin if it wasn't paired with the money of today as a reference of value, nobody would see why we need to switch. Satoshi did this on purpose?

I'm not a fan of measuring the value of 100,000,000 sats in infinitum bucks.

This is a better, albeit imperfect yardstick.

While better, Gold will be mined from space eventually. I believe 1btc = 1btc but I think satoshi knew it was going to be a transitional process.
