A few years ago, four heavily armed police officers raided my home and seized all my computers. Their justification? A high-ranking politician—whose name they refused to reveal—had been called a “snake with glasses” (german: Brillenschlange) on Facebook.
The post came through a Tor server I operated, which apparently made me a suspect, even though the server wasn’t in my home but on a rented VPS. To date, despite repeated requests, the computers have not been handed over to me.
