Not sure the age, but when the kid was little we had a 3 bites rule. If you really don't like it after 3 bites, you can have something else. It had to be 3 real bites, not just a lick. It wasn't about forcing him to do what I wanted, but there's psychology behind by the third bite they're actually tasting the food. And we always tried the foods he said he didn't like after a while. He's always been a good eater and most of the time ate whatever we ate. Hope she figures out that food is amazing 🫂💜

She will be 6 this year…
We tried doing some stuff the docs wanted us to try n that didn’t work… she really only likes a few things and completely refuses n e thing else… we’re trying to get her to like eating different stuff but it’s been really hard after her 2 shunt revisions last year…
After those there was major set backs with her eating & speech
Poor thing 🫂. I feel like just keep offering different things with no pressure/expectations is the only way around it. I'm meaner about it now with my kid who is almost 11 (😭😭) because he's listened to too many people about the things he's always liked being gross...I wish it was just kids... But as a little, I was sweet mom and rewarded good behavior. In the end getting some food in is what's important.
