No, the problem is they follow their conscience, but it is not a well-formed conscience.

In the past, I used to watch people who were fairly ignorant but they participated greatly in society and democracy because they had a well-formed conscience.

And that can only happen with self restraint, self respect, and God. Things that are rare today.

While I agree with your sentiment, I think both of you are correct.

I was listening to Jung’s Psychology of the Unconscious today, and I think he would describe the situation as the people having a retarded unconscious.
