I've always wondered why people want this? I find in app browsers insanely annoying

because usually the launching app is using it to track your web activity, and many deeplinks stop working when launched from an in-app browser
That’s fair. But usually links like on nostr are articles I want to read, maybe not even fully because it’s crap, and then get out as quickly as possible and back to my feed
