Does market cap even make sense as a metric for Bitcoin? What about all those lost coins?

What about them. I would believe there valuation still counts.
Take the extreme example, 20,999,999 coins are lost and only 1 is spendable. If that one coin is trading for 100 million usd, is the network worth 2.1 quadrillion as market cap would suggest?
