The irony of nostr is that it lack the same addictive qualities of inferior centralized social media services. It really is a better user experience in terms of content and quality by way of curating one’s feed. But the lack of the ‘surprise’ of brain-cycle content makes the drugs of social media less potent.

agreed, perhaps even pulls away the veil of social medias usefulness in absolutel terms. as in, if it aint spoon fed it really isnt as useful so if ur a person that doesnt want spoonfed info...why take the time to build up the setup in nostr when you could just like be in a discord or matrix chat with people you like 🤷‍♂️
