Probably a wild theory, but I think there is a chance that the part of the Mt. Gox coins which were meant to be sold were already sold last week, which would now make it a sell the news event. My reasoning behind this is, the German government sold almost double the amount of coins today than they did last week, without any noticeable impact on the price, so there must have been something else going on.
