My son was curious about one of the apps on my desktop. It was Apple Maps. I opened it up and showed him where we live. Then pointed out where im from and then pointed to where his grandma lives. I then zoomed out to the entire globe and he just said “WOW!”
Yeah … I know right?! This is where we are!
My son loves maps. Zooming out reminds me of all the homes I have had over the years. Strangely, it all feels like a distant dream/nightmare now. Did I truly live those lives?
Sometimes we fail to recognize how amazing is to have an interactive representation of the whole world available for almost everyone. I remember the early years of Google Earth, it felt awesome.
I zoom out to globe myself occasionally. Then I spin it 😂 gives me a cool feeling about technology and earth in general.
Someone posted this previously. It blew my mind. Had never considered that we will never be in the same place twice in the universe.
