I didn't think I was ready to run my own Lightning node. I'm probably not, but after six months running one. I'm glad I am. I've learned a lot, and managed to wrap my head around the whole thing a lot better than before.

I'll deal with force closures, trying to restore channel states and the rest of the complications as they come.

What hardware are you using? I’d like to run a Lightning node but will need some kind of equipment first. Start 9 seems a bit expensive. I’m holding off on buying stuff until Bitcoin gets back up to $100,000.

I reluctantly went with an Umbrel home, after several failed attempts at getting the chain to sync on a raspi... I'm going to try and reflash that with Start OS eventually, but in the interim the plug and play option was more my speed.

I was sick of resyncing my core node for 45 minutes on my laptop and an external SSD whenever I needed to.
