Beautiful.

But then again, when a king demands you build him a church. πŸ˜†

Kings used to pay well and it was good work when you could get it. I live in a drab old mill town in Massachusetts and the things the Roman Catholics used to build were amazing. An imposing Gothic church by the French .... the Italians build something akin to a Basilica with ornate marble ... total work of art.

And then the Vatican II hit in 1965 .. like a Protestant sledge hammer .... absolutely crass, banal, modernistic, guitars, felt banners and the shit-liturgy as well.

That natural lighting. 🀌🏻

It was stunning!! And there was nobody there!

Yeah. It’s an unfortunate truth.

Work of art.

Def. not a Protestant aedifice ..... I used to be a church going man Traditional Latin Mass no less. The architecture always meant something to me as well as the particulars of the liturgy.

And at the same time and most importantly, the house of GOD πŸ’œ

It's rather high God preference architecture.

Amazingly gorgeous
