The argument that Monero shouldn't be used because it's delisted/has a bounty/is "illegal" is like saying you shouldn't smoke marijuana, use encrypted messengers, tor, or 3D print your own guns.

I thought Bitcoiners were against permission πŸ€”?

Jordan, I like you πŸ‘πŸΌ

Thank you, brother.

The original bitcoiners were against permission and they've all moved to Monero now. The Bitcoiners you see these days are NGU people. And don't have any fundamentals or ideals.

Todays Bitcoin maxis are pussys πŸ‘€

They only want "dad" state and ETF's to make their number go up ufortunately πŸ‘€

If their freedom goes down and the number still go up it's ok for them πŸ˜…

OG Bitcoiners move away to Monero long ago πŸ‘Œ

Interesting take, but isn't the core of Bitcoin's ethos about individual sovereignty and decentralization? Sure, the ETF craze has its pros and cons, but it also brings mainstream exposure, which could be a net positive. Monero’s privacy focus is undeniable, but Bitcoin still holds the crown for being the most decentralized and robust store of value. OGs who truly understand freedom know it’s not about jumping ship but building stronger foundations for both. Thoughts?

Nope, that is cultism. There are non-negotiable values like privacy.

You don't stick to some old tech which today is a government surveillance tool just because of nostalgia. You change because we use crypto currencies to get away from that government surveillance and control in the first place.

You talk about "most decentralized" but unfortunately that is a wishful thinking rather than a fact. When you look on the mining charts (where that decentralization happens), the top 4 mining pools control +80% of what is accepted as a transaction. To remember, you only need 51% to technically break the system so it is NOT the most decentralized system out there.

Again if you look on monero, the community there has enabled mining on normal CPUs by everyday users rather than professional ASIC farming. Anyone here can mine monero at home, they even went beyond that and are replacing mining pools with P2P pools. That is true decentralization at work, try yourself to mine a cryptocurrency and to get some atual monero on your wallet every day: https://gupax.io/
