They're not selling treasuries though, they're just letting them mature and roll off the books. Which is a very slow way to unwind the balance sheet. And they can't start selling treasuries very much before things start breaking everywhere. BRICS+ nations are already unloading US treasuries as fast as they can without making a splash in the market.
