Oooh, so it's normal that it isn't instant?

I think so. I haven’t seen one NWC wallet that had instant zaps

We might have different presuppositions on instant, but my experience with primal wallet on primal was pretty instantaneous. I recently moved clients and tried minibits but waited for a good 20-25 seconds. Then tried alby, and while it's not as quick as pw, it's always within 5 seconds

In the first case you mean primal wallet inside of primal right? In that case you’re not using NWC, just the wallet inside the app. My understanding was that NWC will always be slightly slower than a built in wallet

NWC and built in wallets are the same speed. They both send requests through a server.

When I use WoS it seems faster than minibits, is it because it’s happening in the background?

Because there is no push notification needed to wake up the app

…so it’s faster? 😂

My dumb mistake, that makes sense

That is because when you zap Primal users from Primal it is just changing a number in a DB. And more use Primal than not.

I also think that they show the zap symbol first, and the zap happens in the background

That totally makes sense. I don't know why I automatically equated primal in primal and an NWC linked wallet together. Thank you
