#[0] I was hoping the 'social network' settings would help with loading notes but it's still struggling. I don't know what it's doing when it tries to find a note, even if I use the relay that has it (as documented by nostr.band) - Do some relays not respond to queries? Do you randomly pick a relay to query? Do you query them all? I just can't understand why it can't load a note when I'm using the same relays, especially now with the social network settings turned off.

I experience the same. Some notes are not loading.

I went to settings and saw the 'social network' tab. Then it may have started loading the network and things got a little better but still.

Yeah, it's better with the social network settings, but it still feels like Iris doesn't query for notes. It just waits for them to come in naturally. It's good after you are online for awhile. The notes being interacted with are already in the cache or will be streamed in soon.

What doesn't work is trying to browse back to 3+ hours ago as soon as you first wake up in the morning, trying to catch up. I don't think it's going back in time, it's just taking in the stream as it comes. It's not a historical Nostr client, it's just streaming in what's happened since you refreshed the page, up to some time ago.
