I think I'm finding out that I'm addicted to deleting.

That's not possible in real life.

But in the virtual world, in my digital devices I delete a lot, with tye slightest impuls.

Shift delete is my to go keys.

#Nostr in rewiring my brain to accept that what is said cannot be unsaid.

In the early days, I tried to delete many DMs and notes here. But I'm getting used to things being permanent, like in the real world.

i hear ya. kids are now growing up with a permanent online record. knowing they will have a hard time ever living mistakes down. it is a double-edged sword. people can forget over time, but a digital record is theortically permanent. use social media, but don't doxx yourself. using anonymous nostr accounts behind a vpn & orbot (thank you #Amethyst) solve this

You use tor and vpn to your advantage, we use it, if possible, just to connect to the world wide web.

We are not the same.

i know. you are in my dms and i am helping you to troubleshoot your simplex errors. i assume you were talking to all people outside your country...like a post. but keep in mind, it was a reply and you don't know where or how i use tor and vpn, or for what purposes fren

and 💯 what you are going through is horrible 🫂💜

Yes it was a general you, not personal

While I appreciate what you say, deleting MISTAKES is the only reason I delete. Not being able to edit my posts is annoying. Everyone makes mistakes and the artis brain is a chaotic one.

You can delete notes on Amathest, and if I need to edit myself I just punish myself by writing the whole post over and checking it better on there
