Tell me about them.

Obviously Amazon have a HUUUGE book store, I'm guessing they alternatives have a more limited range.

I tend to read non mainstream stuff, also I'd like to be able to read my own published books and those of my Father.

Can Kobo or Pocketbook read Kindle books?

So doing some basic research, Kobo seem to have a limited book range and Pocketbook have nothing.

Obviously I'm not going to buy an e-book reader if I can't read any e-books on it.

Yes, large selection is a killer feature of Amazon. But then you need to be prepared for their pricing policy for the devices. I'm using Pocketbook for couple years but they really not great. Thinking about Kobo

I've been searching Kobo's books library.

Obviously they don't have any of my families books, but that aside, they have about 10% of the books in my current collection and they ones are the ones I am least interested in.

So I'm going to have to stay a whore to Amazon for now.

Yes. I heard that the latest generation of Kinles are pretty good devices. It's just not my thing

Neither mine, but books are one of my things

couldn't have said it better
