@umbrel node in shambles… won’t get past the loading screen.

I don’t see any other option than redoing the whole process and wiping it clean.

But this will erase my copy of the #btc  blockchain I just spent a month downloading.

Can any more technically save plebs hlp plz 🙏🏻

Been such a frustrating process. My job revolves around navigating software and I have a solid understanding of networks / computers.

But this umbrel load screen feels like coinbase going down back when I held my coins on their exchange (earlyyy days)

What device are you running umbrel on?

Raspberry pi

Are you running Umbrel via Tor?

No

Send a screenshot of the screen you keep getting stuck on

How are you accessing the screen, by localhost via a laptop?

Yeah just going to umbrel.local on my laptop

Have your tried using another device to try to access umbrel.local?

You tried*

Phone yes but have yet to try another laptop, will do that and check back in

Didn’t work

Reflashed my ssd and we’re good ⚡️

Perfect! Glad you got it working. Always feel free to reach out if you need help troubleshooting anything

Up the memory setting in the BTC app - I moved mine to 1gb and it only took 3 days top to bottom last month. Likely could do higher memory limit for faster.

I’d rather not prune

It’s not a prune, promise! Just a memory setting.

This setting (under Advance):

Cache Size (MB)

Choose the size of the UTXO set to store in RAM. A larger cache can speed up the initial synchronization of your Bitcoin node, but after the initial sync is complete, a larger cache value does not significantly improve performance and may use more RAM than needed.
