10,000 Mexican agents on the border to disrupt fentanyl trafficking: is this Trump's victory? False.

It's just propaganda, it's marketing to voters, and only the narcos cartels will benefit.

The Mexico-US border is 3,145 kilometers (1,954 miles) long. To put it in European perspective, it is longer than driving from Paris to Moscow (2.834 kilometers). As if that were not enough, the border alternates between desert and densely populated areas in which the cartels have been building tunnels and logistical facilities for decades. It is a very long sieve.

10,000 agents are useless. They are just security forces diverted from guarding Mexican territory, where the narcos already have total control, in defiance of the state, army and police. Trump has only given a wildcard to the narco-traffickers.

International drug trafficking can only be solved by ending prohibition.

I think the end of prohibition is a utopia for the time being
