While attending English pronunciation classes in London about 10 years ago, a tutor said, that one of the most devoted teachers of English language [Leon Leszek Szkutnik](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Leszek_Szkutnik) compared the language to the Sleeping Beauty. One needs to kiss her to wake her up, but that in turn would change him forever. None, but speakers of English with Slavic background, can understand it better.

I used books of [LLS](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Leszek_Szkutnik) while in high school. I rejected compulsory Russian as my primary foreign language at [_Matura_](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matura) exams and went for English. That as you can imagine didn't work well in a country belonging to the [Soviet Bloc](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Bloc). It might be worth to mention that one of my parents is from behind the [Curzon Line](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curzon_Line), from the area very much like a multicultural pot, and I was fluent in Russian as a kid.

But it is -- for me. Somehow it's also my [Alchemist](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Alchemist_(novel)) story. I now have found my philosophical stone.

Even that the Sleeping Beauty eventually kicked me in the teeths, I'm still an Anglophile. And my friends, who know me and understand, see me as such.

I have found the audio of the 'Yellowed Maple Leaf’ in an [MP3](https://chomikuj.pl/g-print/TEATR+POLSKIEDO+RADIA/PO*c5*bb*c3*93*c5*81K*c5*81Y+LI*c5*9a*c4*86+KLONU+-+Leszek+Leon+Szkutnik+-,3440816730.mp3(audio)) file on an obscure Polish service Hamster. Idea the play is built seemingly similar to 'An Inspector Calls’. Hamster is a paid service but I managed to listen first 20-30 mins. Entertaining and clever has got of course references to Canada.

If you have the script I coud do with it. 🙏
