really weird but I have parents from different heritages. when living in Japan my mother furiously taught me maths and homework from the second I got home till dinner time, every day for years straight.

we moved to australia, and her interest in helping me died quick. dad's knowledge and help though came in at that point while living in a western country. I was brought up on Monty Python and British Comedy and an entire library where I could read what I wanted.

I don't have kids... and I turned out well, pretty bad. But I can't think of anything more fruitful to a life than to love learning. Not one topic, but all. I think when you place the phone or ipad in the hands of someone under the age of 5 and give them unfettered access to all socials? You fucked up.
