Yes, this is basically the crux of it. Objects are "inanimate" unless a force is applied. A force/motion.

The experiment shows that objects when dropped and are no longer connected to the reference frame, show no signs of a force being applied (ala gravity/pulled down).

Therefore the only conclusion can be the earth is moving upwards which explains buoyancy, density, level water etc...
