Correct. That's a nice loophole because the zap functionality isn't built into the app itself. It has bots on it that happen to be LN wallets.

If Nostr was structured the same, Apple wouldn't have done anything.

To clarify, what I meant was that fiat purchases in both apps involve Apple getting a cut.
