I'm with you on that. I'm just stating WHY people are using non custodial wallets.

Non custodial wallets are just as simple to use as custodial wallets so I don't see it being a problem when Bolt12 arrives. Life isn't fair, sometimes we just need to wait.

100%, Bolt 12 is the answer. LNURL is a stopgap that does a lot of cool things while also encouraging custodial solutions.

I think Lightning Labs is a big stumbling block here. They seen to be prioritizing a "stable" coin usecase that could very well be obsolete when they get it into production.

If we had BOLT 12 as we should have ages ago, most of the issues with Zaps would be a moot point as it would be far easier to do things the right way.
