To be fair, YAML came first. ;)
Didn't know that. I read on Wikipedia a long time ago about the birth of yaml and json
..so maybe I got it wrong, or maybe Wikipedia is a trash source.
YAML was first, but JSON wasn't a proper subset of YAML until version 1.3, IIRC.
