Funny enough- I use a bunch of banks and they were all writing that phrase next to FDIC insured. Now they've all taken that language down.

Probably spooked some people to learn that their money is only backed by the government. Or them asking how that works in a shutdown

The system's been corrupted to such an extent that people think it's all working well, while it slowly exploits them without them realising it does.

Fractional reserve banking is fraud.
