Because most people would rather spend their time having authentic interactions instead of spending their time figuring out how to accumulate mass followers and clout. That’s what has made nostr so refreshing thus far, there’s barely any clout chasing and it’s mostly authentic, genuine conversation. If an Algo is implemented that favors certain posts over others, people will start posting so the Algo gives them preference, and interactions lose their humility and authenticity. I am not denying that some Algos have their place (in limited circumstances), but IMO nostr clients should avoid twitter-like Algos at all costs to avoid a repeat of the anger fueled shit storm twitter has become.
