I have a Heltec MeshPocket on the way and have owned a 25w solar phone charger that outputs USB-A for several years. My current node is the Seeed T1000-E that i plan on giving to a family member when the MeshPocket shows up. I got the 10k mah MeshPocket bc i want weeks of runtime

Oh dang, I got my note in January, and I've only had it since then.

The new mesh pocket will only be my second node.

I've thought about getting one of those solar nodes and putting it up on the, like, 30-foot pole I have, but the problem is that it's right near some trees, so it's very shady, and I'm not sure if the solar panel would get enough sun to keep the batteries charged.

Find the tallest tower or building in the area and place there.

Yes, but don’t tell anyone and place it in the hidden spot. If they find it, your device is probably gone! 😁 I hid one this way and labeled it with a sticker that says, ‘Not a bomb, off-grid mesh device’
