That’s not in the Amazon. It’s the Serra da Capivara National Park, in the state of PiauĆ, in the northeastern region. It’s a semi-arid area, no rainforest in sight. Incredible place—with lots of prehistoric sites

No worries! I was born in Brazil and studied about this place. Fascinating anyway

I'm fascinated with Brazil's history and its diverse culture. Amazing place.

Yep, it’s a hotpot of 3 distinct civilisations: European, Indigenous and African

Very rich culture, history & civilization, so much to learn and lot of unanswered questions

So is Peru…fascinating civilisation! The wonderful opportunity to learn everyday is just beautiful and amazing! šŸ’œ

what does it date back to?

The dating of the sites is not precise. They are believed to span a wide range of time, with some estimates suggesting that the oldest human presence in the region dates back to around 30,000 years ago. That’s controversial, though, as some researchers argue that humans only arrived in the Americas 15,000 years ago. It’s a fascinating subject
