Gm & Pv #nostr ☕️☁️

One of my wishes for 2024 is that more folks with a variety of takes and interests join #nostr. I’m only on twitter for the pod and not being on there the past several days has been quite refreshing.

It’s either grift left and right, stupid takes on #bitcoin from maxi’s and no-coiners alike, or the same thing being spoken in unison from hundreds of accounts I follow. It’s boring at best, and deeply infuriating at worst. And yes, there is a bit of an echo chamber here on nostr, but that’s mostly due to the small size of the community still. X is that way even with millions of daily users!

Hopefully we can get more journalists, reporters, respectable finance/economists, historians, etc to find value in #nostr, and find better ways to follow and connect with people. We need coinbase level ads for #nostr. And no, I don’t think having news and things like that on nostr would turn it into a twitter/x-like shit show.

So I am bullish on nostr’s variety of use cases. And I know many of you see the social client side of nostr as perhaps long-term its least interesting use-case, but If search and follow gets better on #nostr social clients, with the ability to find real-time updates, and easier onboarding for normies with key management, X is dead 💀
